[00:00:00] Hey, sibling, you are listening to the unmasking unschooled podcast. This is for visionaries, creatives, and change makers who happen to be autistic, who are done with pathology paradigms, the masks and misinterpretations of the past and the burnout cycles that come from trying to fit in with what doesn't work.
[00:00:31] You are here to create new aligned life structures, to innovate industries, to design liberatory solutions, and create new culture by becoming yourself. My name is Louisa Shaeri. I'm an artist, coach, and founder of Sola Systems. This is all about you getting unstuck, reinventing and elevating your sense of self.
[00:00:52] Having the social context and frameworks to make a life that makes sense for how you make sense. So you can finally experience who you're here to be in your fullness. Let's deep dive into it.
[00:01:08] Hey sibling. So today I have a big announcement to share with you. That is part one of a two part announcement and part one. I'm going to give you the headline straight away. And then I'm going to tell you what has informed the decision that is this big announcement. So let's get into it. But before we do, the big announcement is, okay, bit of backstory.
[00:01:31] Last episode you'll have heard me open doors to enrollment, to unmasking unschool. If you've been following very closely, you'll know that I do this a couple of times a year. And this is when I invite people into my main group coaching program. That is something that I've been running for four years and I open enrollment a couple of times a year.
[00:01:55] And it's always a moment that's quite exciting, quite intense. It's quite, um, full of unknowns and full of emotions and full of anticipation. But this time I had a different experience. I had an A sensation in my body of some conflict and some push and pull. I was moving forward with it, but it was feeling like a strain and something was off and I didn't have the same feelings that I normally do.
[00:02:31] And so a couple of days after opening enrolment, some people had already joined. I closed enrolment altogether, refunded those people, said, hold on, something else is coming. And something else is coming, but also Unmasking Unschool is closing. What? This is a epic decision in the timeline of solar systems and this work and a very, very difficult one to make and one that I think I've not been wanting to look at.
[00:03:17] for a few weeks, if not a few months. And so opening enrollment brought me front and center and very close to that realization. And I could have muscled through, I could have pushed through, I could have ignored that conflict, but I know now I know to trust the wisdom of my body. Me and my body are like besties, arms linked, we're going together.
[00:03:43] And if my body's like, then I know now to listen. And. So my body was saying, no, this, this isn't it, this isn't the future, this isn't where I'm going. And so with that came a whole bunch of very difficult emotions and decisions. some grief, some fear of what's coming, uh, some fear of what people will think, some misgivings about, is this really the right decision?
[00:04:22] I've been very committed, very faithful and really stuck with delivering this program, having it be the main thing that I'm doing, and doing it for four years, and You know, developing myself through it and also holding space and facilitating people developing themselves and making their own huge decisions and pivots and changing their life and changing their experience of who they are, changing their relationship with their own body, their own thoughts and sensations and sensory experiences and perceptions.
[00:05:00] And it's been epic. It's been remarkable. It's been a ginormous achievement and it's also been a real source of stability for me, for the people in it, for just, okay, this is the thing I'm doing. Part of that has come from some really good coaching I received, which is stick to your offer. Stick to the thing that you're putting out in the world, stick with it and learn how to tweak it, improve it, explain it better.
[00:05:37] But have it be something that you're committed to. Don't be constantly changing and switching and doing this and that and the other. And I've also had the philosophy that, The power of one thing, one focus. I'm someone who likes to scatter myself amongst too many things, and it's been a real test of constraining down to, no, this one thing can be full of lots of different things, and it can give me that level of satisfaction and interest and curiosity and, and meeting that need for variety if I stick with it, and if I really go all in with it and commit to it.
[00:06:18] And yeah, people have also experienced it as a, uh, a window, a space in their life, a source of stability, a source, a source of connection, of support, of camaraderie, of witnessing other people evolve and change, uh, a source of belief, a source of really highly relevant context for their own lives. And so, yeah, closing, unmasking unschool, Is a bit of an epic decision.
[00:06:49] It's not one that I took lightly and it feels very big also to announce it to you, given that this podcast is called Unmasking Unschool, the Unmasking Unschool podcast. So there's the big headline and I'm going to share with you a little bit about where that decision is coming from. And that will give you some context for then what I'm going to be announcing in the coming weeks, which is brand new offers, brand new ways of working with me, and these are things I'm dreaming up from a space of who am I now.
[00:07:26] Who are you now? And all the experience that I've collected up over the last four years of what I am really good at, what I like doing, where, where I like to help people, what I'm, you know, really excited and energized by and some new clarity in all of those things. And some of that new clarity has come from something I did recently.
[00:07:53] And by the way. This idea of clarity comes from doing, from taking action. I cannot understate how much this has helped me. If you're not sure, take a step and something new comes, right? Comes to you. Something new occurs to you. We always think that we need to know how we need to have the path laid out. We need to know all the answers.
[00:08:16] We need to be clear. in advance of like what, what's going to be involved. And actually we can't know until we start doing and we gather up that knowing through the doing. So, okay, side note over the doing for me recently has involved opening up, uh, a free space. It was called Changemaker Culture Creator.
[00:08:38] So many of you Came, signed up, watched, came live, and that was for me an opportunity to take some of the frameworks that I've been, you know, that have been part of Unmasking Unschooled, that I've been working on and testing out a new kind of lens, a new framing, testing out which ideas feel I feel compelled to share, uh, with a new group of people as a way to kind of pull, pull new versions of them out of me and to experience them live and to test out also Putting out a slightly different signal out into the world, a signal that is a lot less about acknowledging and accepting where, where you are, who you are, and much more about where are we, where are we going and what is it that you're wanting to create in the world?
[00:09:34] It was called change maker, culture creator for a reason, because I really believe that the experience of not fitting in the experience of thinking differently. Lends us gifts of actually cultural leadership of being able to show people the way to new experiences, new possibilities, new ways of thinking, and having the almost like, you know, your past experiences of not fitting in, being the training.
[00:10:01] Like being the thing that prepared you for that. And so it was a new, you know, a new way of putting out a signal in the world. And for me, seeing who, who resonated, who would respond to that. And to my delight, there were so many of you that came that are just hungry. Right. Hungry for that kind of message, hungry for some experience or a space or support, which is really about you doing it your way, you creating things in the world, you vocationally making moves and, you know, being bold and creating new culture and doing it your way and having a space that, that is not you having to explain that, but it's actually tailored to the ways that you need to do things, the ways that you think.
[00:10:55] process, et cetera, right? And some of the experiences that you may have had as a result. And so, yeah, my, my sense was, okay, wow, there is resonance for this. And I'd felt that resonance inside of the spaces that I hold already. And so it was really a confirmation for me of, okay, things that I most. Love coaching around, which is this kind of permissive space of trailblazing and yet like fucking doing it your way being the permission that is something that people are responding to and wanting, right?
[00:11:33] You're wanting that, that kind of space and the kind of space that is holding you accountable to your, to your dreams to those big goal, the big, scary, fucking like what? Imagine if I did that goals. And so that's a different energy. And I love that energy, but it's a very different energy from what is needed in an earlier space, an earlier stage of a journey of self acceptance.
[00:11:58] And so my experience of delivering Change Maker Culture Creator, this free program I delivered in September, was experiencing two, two groups, two groups of people. Those of you that are, you know, needing a space to land, To be held to be seen to be recognized in the experiences that you've had and then there's another group of you that are have have had a lot of that and maybe you've worked through or you've been through a burnout cycle and you've come out the other side and you're raring to go or maybe you've had some difficult decisions you've changed some things.
[00:12:38] And you know enough that you've, you've tried the mediocrity of, of a kind of half you, half one foot in, one foot out. And you're like, cool. I know what that got me. Great. Okay. But fuck it. Let me go for the thing that I actually want. Let me be the person that I actually am. And let me just go all in on that.
[00:12:57] And those are two very different energies and two very different Stages in what I would think of as kind of self emergence and growing into and unfolding everything that you are here to be. And so what's come out of that for me is recognizing that Unmasking Unschooled is this kind of Very general, very unspecific coaching space that has all of those happening all at once.
[00:13:28] And it's a kind of general life coaching space, right? So the coaching calls, people can come with literally anything and we coach on everything and anything. And it's been really important for me to. This experience has shown me that actually there, you know, there are, there are different things needed at different stages in that path.
[00:13:51] And me trying to cover both at once, it's not feeling right because there are different coaching approaches required for both of those things. Those need different things. And So one of them is much more about reorienting to yourself and self connection, right, which is really about orienting everything that you're doing and you're thinking and you're feeling into a new relationship, a new relationship with yourself as the foundation for everything else.
[00:14:20] And the personal power that comes when you are taking up all the space and the choice in your body, in your decisions, in your thinking, and the skillset involved in that. And the skillset involved in that is what I call the power system. And so what's coming is a program that is entirely devoted to that power system.
[00:14:43] And. To the energy and the power and the sense of self and the self esteem that comes from that work. But then there's a different space that I also want to create, which is much more focused on what you're doing in the world. And it actually requires a different approach, a different coaching energy, really being someone who can use that self esteem that you've built to then model social esteem to be going out there and like, You know, doing big things in the world and that requires a different type of support and a different level of support.
[00:15:22] It's something that I've been very focused on in my one on ones. And so that next thing is really about the identity transformation involved in seeing yourself as someone who can make moves that take you out of who you think you are and into a different stratosphere. Of thinking and of being someone who is really on the path of cultural leadership.
[00:15:49] And that's a different skill set. It's a different coaching approach, and it's much more for me. It's about identity. There are ways of coaching around that that don't fit someone who's still needing to build that foundation of self connection. So these I see as stackable skill sets. The power system is the foundation.
[00:16:09] Then we've got the solar system, which is that identity change. And I'm actually reorganizing and refocusing the solar system to really be pointed onto and be about that vocational identity change. I'm going to talk more about that later once I've got into the nitty gritty of both of these things, but they are coming.
[00:16:30] Hold tight, keep an eye on emails from me on podcast episodes coming out and you're going to hear about those offers coming very soon. And I want to finish by. Giving a shout out to the Unmasking Unschooled siblings, those of you that have been in the program anytime, ever, and helped to make it what it has been, which has been something so special, so unique, and so transformative for everyone who's been involved, and I, it's really one of the most One of the things I'm most proud of in my life, and I want to invite each and every one of you to share in that pride, to have that pride in yourself for making that decision to join in what you've contributed, the energy you've brought, and everything that you've had the courage to bring to it, to unfold, to unpack, to get coached on, to be witnessed in, and to see yourself really as someone who, who co created it.
[00:17:34] Like fuck that was amazing. All right, siblings. I will talk to you very soon. Bye
